Jacquelyn “Jackie” Faye Edwards

Jacquelyn “Jackie” Faye Edwards passed away on June 25, 2023.

She was born on August 7, 1941 to Alvis and Thelma (“Jo”) Tilley in North Little Rock, AR.  She graduated from North Little Rock High School.  She married Elvis Edwards in 1961 and raised 3 sons (Jim, Brian, & Bo). She worked as secretary at Pike Avenue Baptist Church, consultant for North Pulaski Baptist Association and retired from the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, where she worked in the children’s Sunday school department.  She spent summers running the children’s park at Arkansas Baptist Assembly in Siloam Springs, AR.  She was an avid gardener and book reader.

Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Edwards and her middle son, Brian Edwards and two sisters, Mary Clark & Carol Ann Tilley.  She survived by her sons, James “Jim” Edwards (Denise) of North Little Rock; and Raymond “Bo” Edwards (Keli) of Little Rock; sister Joyce Malehorn of Virginia; 5 grandchildren (Whitney, Caleb, Molly, Andrew and Jacob and 3 great-grandchildren (Gabi, Walt and Oslo).  

The family would like to thank the staff at Robinson Nursing & Rehabilitation and Gentiva Hospice for their care and support.

A graveside service to be held on Friday, 10 am on June 30th at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock, AR.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to the American Alzheimer Association or charity of your choice.
