Jacqueline G. Tucker, 87 of Little Rock went to be with her Lord on September 10, 2009 at her residence. She was born on April 9, 1922 in Harrison, Arkansas; she was the daughter of Marion Oliver Gilbert and Myrtle Bruton Gilbert.
Jacqueline was a nurse for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for over 30 years, after leaving she then practiced nursing for the Pulaski County Health Department, and worked for the Arkansas State Health Department until her retirement. She was an active member of First Gospel Assembly of God, who loved going to church and loved her family and church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, and daughter Nancy Kay Guynes.
Survivors include her children Raymond Davis II, Caroline and Paul Lewis, Frances and B.W. Lockert, John and Betty Davis, Henry and Vay Davis and Robert and Leigh Guynes; nineteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2009 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel at 6400 Mabelvale Pike (North West corner of 65th & University) in Little Rock, with Richard Hamlin officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rainey Cemetery near Roland.
Pallbearers are Raymond Davis III, Robert Hallenbeck, Billy Lockert Jr., Richie Lockert, Bradley LeQuieu Jr., Jeb Davis, Travis Davis, and Michael Guynes.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Hallenbeck, John W. Davis, Carey Davis, Corey Davis, and Nicholas Davis.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Huson Funeral Home in Little Rock.
