Jackie Lynn White, age 62, of De Queen, died Friday, December 2, 2011. He was born on July 15, 1949 at San Antonio, Texas, the son of Beecher Langley White and Doris White House. Jackie married Brenda Jean Mack on March 6, 1969. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Wesley Tinker House; and his brother, Bobby White. Jackie was Baptist in his faith and a United States Army Veteran. He served in Vietnam and attained the rank of Sergeant and was also a Paratrooper in the 101 Airborne. He enjoyed fishing, but his greatest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Brenda White of De Queen; three sons and daughter-in-law, Trevor White of Nashville, Arkansas, Tracy and Misty White of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and B. J. White of De Queen; his daughter, Jessie White of De Queen; seven grandchildren; two step-sisters, Phyllis Cogburn and Frankie Jackson both of Alpine; one aunt, cousins, nieces and nephews; and many good friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Raymond Dees officiating. Interment will be in the Lodi Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be James Mack, Donnie Forrest, Ronnie Forrest, Steven Forrest, Trenton White, Jeffrey White, Joseph Musick and Jason Mack. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
