Jackie L. English, a beloved member of the community, passed away on June 9, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love.  Born and raised in Bauxite, Arkansas on June 19, 1943, Jackie had a fulfilling life enriched with various experiences and accomplishments.

Jackie was a man of many talents and passions. Throughout his career, he established his own business, English Vending, and later retired from Stauffer Chemicals in Little Rock. His commitment to excellence was further exemplified by his role as the guard for Alcoa Properties for over a decade. Jackie also selflessly served his country by dedicating six years to the National Guard.

Outside of work, Jackie found joy in numerous hobbies and interests. A faithful member of First Baptist Church in Benton, he cherished moments spent amongst his church community. Jackie's love for classic cars was evident as he treasured his T Model and '55 Chevy. He delighted in impromptu drives down back roads where he could reflect on cherished memories. Known for his quest to find the perfect cheeseburger, Jackie's culinary adventures were always shared with enthusiasm.

One of Jackie's proudest accomplishments was serving on the AEDA board in Bauxite for over a decade and holding the esteemed position of President. His dedication to community development and progress left an indelible mark on those around him.

In his personal life, Jackie was surrounded by a loving family that meant the world to him. He is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Virginia "Ginger" English of Mabelvale; son Eddie English and wife Patty of Alexander; daughter Renea Hendershot and husband Chris of Sherwood; step-daughters Amanda Hawkins and husband Rusty of Conway, Jennifer Ethridge and husband Randy of Conway, and Melinda Fawcett and husband Al of North Little Rock. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren:  Cody English, Tasha Penn, Tisha Newkirk, Brittney Sprouse, Brandon Orender, Kati Hendershot, Jake Hendershot, Molly Hendershot, Catherine Andrews, Lance Hawkins, Jacob Owens, JoLynn Moix, Jordan Ahne, and Bethany Hamm; and 20 great-grandchildren who were the light of his life.  Jackie will also be dearly missed by his sister Linda Doggett of Benton alongside numerous other family members and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents James and Ruby (Berry) English, as well as several siblings; James English, Charles English, Loyd English, LaWanda Stuckey, Kathie White, Josephine Doty, Buddy Wayne English, and infant English.
