Jack Rush

Jack C. Rush of Little Rock, AR passed away at home on Saturday, March 27, 2021.He was born in Bentonville, AR on October 28, 1932 to the late Cecil J. Rush and Anna Mae (Emerson) Rush McKee.

He graduated from high school in Fayetteville, AR. He joined the Army and served as a military policeman in Germany. Upon his return, he attended the University of Arkansas Medical School and became a radiologist technician with UAMS until his retirement. He also spent many years involved in estate sales in the area. He had a large group of friends who attended church together and grew old together.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Rush, and his sister, Virginia Crist, along with two nephews, Mike and Mark Walsh, and other family.

He is survived by a sister, Mary McCoy of Lee’s Summit, MO, a first cousin, Mary Elnor Umbaugh, nieces Peggy McCoy Jones, Kathy McCoy Nash, and Michele Fox Coe, and nephews Bob, Bill, Dean, and Richard Rush, as well as many other family members and dear friends who loved him dearly.

Jack was a kind and generous man who went out of his way to take care of others.  He loved showing off his flowers and being outside. We are thankful that he was an important part of our lives and that we will be reunited with him.

Visitation will take place at Smith Benton Funeral Home in Benton, AR on April 6, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Jack will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR on April 8, 2021.
