Jack Meadows

With heavy hearts, we announce that early on May 3, 2018, Jack Adorm "Deacon" Meadows, went to be with his departed loved ones. He is survived by his devoted dog Abby; mother, Donna Leslie; father, Jack Bunch; older sister and her husband, Heather and Jeff Brewer; younger brother and his wife, Jared and Dawn Meadows; nieces: Jade Rorie and Olivia Meadows; nephew, Adam Meadows; and grand-niece, Lilly Fedor. Jack is preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Sue Leslie; his adopted father, Herschell Meadows; and many beloved pets. Jack was an avid history buff. He loved to read, enjoyed building model cars, and was no fun to watch Jeopardy with-because he knew all the answers. Jack was a caring soul wrapped in a coarse exterior. He had a few close friends, but to those he held dear, he was eternally loyal. Jack was a dear brother, a beloved son, and an irreplaceable friend. He will be sorely missed. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, May 6 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, May 8 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Committal service following at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Jared Meadows, Adam Meadows, Clay Hanson, Jeff Brewer, Alvin York and Dave Henderson assisting as pallbearers.
