Jack McMahan age 81, of Friendship passed away on June 30, 2018 in Hot Springs. He was born September 13, 1936, one of ten children to Walter Elbert and Dicie Sheehy McMahan.
Jack was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He worked for the Arkansas State Highway Department from 1960 until 2002. He served in the Army National Guard for twenty-seven years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Doug McMahan; seven siblings, Lorene McDaniel, Dolly Strother, Dorothy Dyer, Lucille Jones, Letha Jones, Pete McMahan and Paul McMahan.
Survivors are his wife of over sixty-two years, Sue McMahan; two daughters, Jackie Crawley and Brenda (Dewayne) Purifoy both of Friendship; one son, Vernon (Kathleen) McMahan of Midway; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, awaiting the arrival of two additional great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim (Lucille) McMahan and Louis (Wanda) McMahan both of Friendship.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
Service will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 3rd at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mt Pleasant Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
