Jack Elwood McCoy, Jr., 66 of North Little Rock, AR, went to be with his heavenly father on April 24, 2009. He was born to Jack McCoy, Sr., and Ruby McCoy in Newport, AR on January 8, 1943. Jack graduated from Adrian High School in 1962.
Jack was a former math teacher at Lenawee Vo-Tech and taught children with special needs. He was most recently a tool and die maker and former owner of Twin City Machine. Jack was a member of the Mason's Lodge #19. He always lived life to the fullest and was most proud of his daughters. He was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He had a loving and warm personally and could light up a room when he entered it. He was a kind and generous person, and there were many people who would call him friend.
He is survived by his three daughters, Shannon Geary of Texarkana, AR, Robyn Dancy of Sherwood, AR, and Jamie Ables of Ward, AR; he is also survived by his mother Ruby McCoy, sister Becky Parcher and his brother Rick McCoy all of Benton, AR; five grandchildren, Chase Geary of Denton, TX, Jamie Geary of Fayetteville, AR, Rebekah Dancy of Sherwood, AR, Trey Geary of Texarkana, AR, and McKinley Ables of Ward, AR.
Visitation will be Monday, April 27th from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner of I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock, AR 72205. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 28th at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Larry Ballard. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Newport, AR.
