Jack Kelly Johnson, age 79, died at Robinson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. He was born June 26, 1933 in Many, Louisiana to the late John Kelly "Jack" Johnson and Etta Irene Knippers Johnson. At the age of 15, Jack joined the U.S. Army and Air Force and served in the Korean War. He was stationed at Camp Chaffee and Blytheville, Arkansas, Missowa AFB in Japan and Parks AFB in California. He attained the rank of Sergeant and earned the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Joy "the Baby Girl" and husband, Ed Pilkinton of Sherwood, Arkansas; son, Jackie Johnson and wife, Faye of Zwolle, Louisiana; son, Joey Johnson of Shreveport, Louisiana; son, Jerry Johnson and wife, Gloria of Jacksonville, Arkansas; son, James Johnson and wife, Susie of Sherwood; daughter, Saundra and husband, Lee Williams of Columbia, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
We would like to thank all of the staff of the Robinson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of North Little Rock for their love, care and support.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be Friday, October 5 at 12:00 noon at Arkansas Memorial Gardens in North Little Rock.
