Jack Hill

Jack Wayne Hill, 78, of North Little Rock passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at UAMS. He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother. Jack was married, but didn't have any children.
Jack served in the Army and National Guard, was in Real Estate for many years, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad. His love of the outdoors and conservation was fantastic. He joined the VA and worked at Ft. Roots for many years as a Technician working in many areas. He enjoyed the Trauma and Emergency areas where he excelled and retired after many years. He loved people and the outdoors, especially Quail hunting and training bird dogs.
He was a long time member of Baring Cross Baptist Church, where his faith in God carried him through many difficult times. Jack lived at the Heritage House in North Little Rock for 20 years. He was President of the Heritage Resident Council for many years and The Housing Authority's Resident Advisory Board. He helped many people out of his own pocket to get things to help them get by.
Jack's family are all the residents and long time residents of the Heritage House and long time church family of Baring Cross Baptist Church. Jack Hill will be missed sitting in the lobby and in the courtyard visiting with his friends and at resident council meetings and activities. Jack will really be missed by his long time fishing buddy and best friend, Bob Hancock as they ran around together and bragged about who caught the biggest trout. They gave their fish to Heritage residents. He's with God catching large trout with a smile on his face now. Rest easy old friend we all miss you.
