J.L. Thomas, Jr., age 69 of Bismarck died Monday, April 2, 2007 at his home. He was born June 6, 1937 in Bismarck, AR the son of the late Jonah and Ethel Duncan Thomas. He was a retired route salesman for Coca Cola of Hot Springs, a U. S. Marine veteran and a member of the Oak Bower Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Wilson Thomas; two sons, William Thomas and wife, Sherri of Sterling CO and Dennis Thomas and wife, Jill of Hot Springs; one daughter, Dorina Lamb and husband, Tracy of Bismarck; one brother, Dean Thomas of Bismarck; four sisters, Clara Mae Scoggins of Grand Prairie, TX, Helen DeAngelas of Benton, Wanda Faye Treadway of Bismarck and Linda Gray of Little Rock; eight grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with Gary Thornton and James Herrin officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6- 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Blake and Todd Corley, Kelly Thomas, Wayne Weatherford, Steven Wilson, and Mike Rucker. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Coca Cola, brother-in-laws and Jeremy Willis. Memorial may be made to Pleasant Hill Cemetery fund. To sign online visit
