J T LaFevers, age 93, of Rosboro, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. He was born on June 3, 1924 in Newhope, the son of John W. LaFevers and Viola York LaFevers. On May 30, 1945, he was married to Cleda Halcomb LaFevers. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Timothy "Timbo" Mack; three brothers, Thurman LaFevers, Thelmar LaFevers and Lloyd Johnson; and one sister, Geneva Floyd. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. A retired farmer, he loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and hunting, especially those elk hunts in Colorado. He always loved being with family. He is survived by his wife, Cleda LaFevers; his daughter, Linda Mack; his son, Mike LaFevers, all of Rosboro; five grandchildren, David Mack, Matthew Mack, Shawn LaFevers, Elizabeth Bright and Cody Grinnis; seven great-grandchildren, Alex Mack, Andrew Mack, Justin Mack, Josh Mack, Ethan Smith, Ashley Smith and Amy Smith; and nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 11, 2018, in the Grace Baptist Church with Bro. James Owens officiating. Military honors will be conducted at the church. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Coker Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be David Mack, Justin Mack, Matthew Mack, Alex Mack, Shawn LaFevers, Cody Grinnis and Ethan Smith.
