J. Collins
J. T. Collins age 77 of Springdale died Monday, July 27, 2009 in Springdale. He was born June 6, 1932 at Friendship, AR the son of James Tandy and Helen Ross Collins. He worked for Ouachita Marine and was of Southern Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother James Collins and a granddaughter, Amanda Collins.
Survivors include his wife Mae Collins, two sons, James Troy Collins and his wife Ann, of Clarkedale, AR and Robert Tandy Collins and his wife Leslie of Lowell, AR, one daughter Brenda Reynolds and her husband Dwain of Ozark, AR, two brothers, Edgar Collins of Arkadelphia and Truman Collins of Curtis, AR, five sisters, Bernice Glasscock of Benton, Carolyn Carter of Searcy, Corrine Clay of Hot Springs, Jean Parker and Linda Dugan both of Keo, four grandchildren, Jeremy, Tiffany, Tyler, and Victoria Collins.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, August 1, in the Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with Robbie Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Carlous Murch, Matthew Murch, Scott Dean, David Collins, Edgar Collins Jr, and Phillip Carter. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff and Steve Milner and Brandon Reynolds.
