Iuliana Bonas

Iuliana Bonas, age 59, of Hot Springs, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021.

She was born on March 19, 1962, in Romania, the daughter of Dumitru Pop and Reghina Bandula Pop. She married John Bonas on July 18, 1982. She was preceded in death by her mother and an infant daughter, Rebecca Bonas.

Iuliana was a Christian in her faith and a member of Betania Romanian Apostolic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and a friend, who will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, John Bonas of Hot Springs; six sons and three daughters-in-law, Ionut and Gabriela Bonas of Michigan, Dani Bonas, Bobby Bonas, David and Kristina Bonas, all of Hot Springs, Steven and Anna Bonas and Jason Bonas, all of Michigan; 22 grandchildren, Ruth, Hadasa, John, Andrew, Filip, Debora, Andrea, Brooklyn, Denisa, Jaden, Abby, Eli, Leah, Josh, Luke, Jason, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Larissa, Rachel, Julianna, and Jonah; her father, Dumitru Pop of Romania; six brothers, Daniel, Viorel, Dumitru, Ioan-Niclae, Samuel and Beniamin; six sisters, Adriana, Doina, Marta, Viorica, Radica and Maria; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at 9:00 AM with George Sasca officiating in the Betania Romanian Apostolic Church.

Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Sunshine.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Bonas’ sons, Ionut, Dani, Bobby, David, Steven and Jason.
