Isaac "Roland" Runyan

Isaac "Roland" Runyan, aged 75, of Keithville, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from a lengthy illness. Roland was born March 5, 1940 in Amity, the son of JP and Clara Runyan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Cleda Fagan; two brothers-in-law, Sonny Fagan and Jerry Williams; his niece, Tina Williams; his father-in-law, M.A. Wallace; and his nephew, Todd Wallace. Roland loved to drink coffee and read the paper at R.J.'s in the mornings. He also loved to play Black Jack and above all he loved his two dogs, Gracie and Lil Man. Roland had a big heart, was a thoughtful, kind and sweet person. We will miss him very much. Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted and loving wife of 26 years, Rebecca Wallace Runyan; sister, Nelda R. Williams; nephew, Allen Williams and wife, Ardita, nephew, Grady Fagan and wife, Theresa and their children, Emily and Ethan Fagan, nephew, Wayne Williams, Jr.; friend, Pansey Fagan; mother-in-law, Nita K. Wallace; brother-in-law, David Wallace; niece, Kassie Hensley and husband, Jeremiah; great-nephews, Kade and Zach Wallace, along with numerous extended family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, at Sweet Home Church near Amity with Bro. Jerry Fagan officiating. Interment will be in Sweet Home Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Visitation will be Monday, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Don Runyan, Troy Runyan, William Ray Lambert, Dwayne Runyan, Jimmy Runyan, and Keith Runyan. The family would like to say thanks to the nurses at Willis Knighton South-3 East, Stepdown and ICU who took care of Roland many times. Also thanks to Willis Knighton NorthCath Lab Nurses and nurses on stepdown for their loving care. Thanks to Dr. Kirit Patel, Dr. Ray David Smith and Dr. Reeves for their care.
