Master Gunnery Sergeant Irvin E. “Ed” Nantze, Jr., reported to his new duty station with the LORD on January 20, 2025. He was born November 8, 1929 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Charlotte Ann West Nantze; parents Irvin E. Nantze and Emma Martha Nantze; siblings: Ida Emmerling, Evelyn Wasson and Ralph H. Nantze.
Ed graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1947. He was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Korea, Albany, Georgia, Washington D.C., California, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Okinawa, Japan and Vietnam.
He was a member of Mayflower bible Church, W.F.W and the American Legion.
Ed is survived by his sister, Jean Wilkin; daughter and son-in-law: Pamela Ann Reynolds and Darrel Clauer; son and daughter-in-law: Charles E. Nantze and Marcia Nantze; grandchildren: Chase E. Nantze (Christie), Allison Reynolds, Drew Reynolds (Julie), Jade Reeves (Danny), James Clauer and Becca Clauer; great-grandchildren: Clayton Hagood, Echo Pinard, Kannon Clauer, Kaden Clauer and Kane Clauer; great-great grandchild: Emori Pinard; and several extended family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 31, 2025 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Reynolds officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock.
