Irma Lillian Franklin age 76 formerly of Amity died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at her daughter's home in Bismarck under hospice care. She was born September 24, 1933 at Amity the daughter of Harvey and Myrtle Neighbors. On August 26, 1950 she married Jimmie L Franklin who preceded her in death on July 18, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Leldon and Gerald Neighbors. Irma was a member of the Bethsaida Church of Christ at Amity most of her life, later, after she went to live with her daughter, she attended the Arkadelphia Church of Christ. Irma truly loved the Lord and her family.

She is survived by four children, Janet Syler and her husband Wayne of Bryant, Robbyn Benbrook and her husband William of Arkadelphia, Darrell Franklin and wife Lecia of Amity, and Jama Hardage and husband Benny of Bismarck, five grandchildren, James Syler and wife, Stephanie, Julie Syler, Melissa and B. J. Hardage and Lily Franklin.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, January 10, 2010 in the Bethsaida Church of Christ near Amity with Wallace Alexander and Dale Justus officiating. Burial will be in the Bethsaida Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
