Our beloved mom and grandmother, Irene Elizabeth Decker (nee Mercer), 92, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on May 5, 2016. She was born on January 14, 1924 to Charlie and Mae Mercer in Marche, Arkansas.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM May 10, 2016 at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Bob Wickliffe of Morgan Full Gospel Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held at Monday May 9, 2016 from 6 - 8 pm at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Palestine Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home.

Irene is survived by her brother Leo Mercer of Arkansas and a sister Hazel Hammer of Arizona, a son Doug Decker of Arkansas, 2 daughters Sandra Stoddard (Shane) of Tennessee and Ruth Desmond (Mark) of Ohio, 7 grandchildren Harley Decker (Danyelle), Amanda Elliot (Dalton), Jeremey Decker (Courtney), Ehren Poindexter, Cameron Poindexter (Amy), Jacquelyn Weems (David) and Sarah Desmond, 9 great grandchildren Harley Decker, Courtney Decker, Nathaniel McClain, Lindsey McClain, Marley Elliott, Karlee Decker, Keilee Jones, Travis Poindexter and Sarah Weems, and other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Decker, parents Charlie and Mae Mercer, brothers William Mercer, Hubert Mercer, Hershel Mercer and Robert Mercer, sisters Ruth Sweat and Jean Light and great grandchild Ace Elliott.
