Ira Franklin Moseley (Frank), 101 years, 6 months, 9 days old, passed away February 29, 2024. He was born in Conyers, GA on Sunday, August 20, 1922, to the late Andrew Jackson and Florence Lorena (Dunn) Moseley.
Frank was an avid wood worker, furniture builder, mechanic, and gardener. He loved all dogs, pies, and old cars! Frank served in the US Army for 7.5 years under General Patton during WWII. He then served in the US Air Force and retired after 14.5 years of service. Once a civilian, Frank worked for Sears as a traveling repairman where he was the ‘Go To’ man that could fix things that no one else could. After 20 years of service with Sears, he retired from there before working odd jobs to stay busy.
Frank was blessed to find Love, not once but twice, and was married for a total of 69 years. He would be the first to tell you that his truest love was the late Mickey Erma Moseley who he was married to for 33 years before she passed in 2014. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives (Hazel Newton and Mickey West), 2 brothers (Clifford and Howard) and 3 sisters (Lula, Doris, and Pearl).
Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Salem Cemetery in East End.
