Ion Dobrin

Ion Dobrin, age 83, of Hot Springs, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 8:30 AM.

He was born on May 6, 1939, in Cincu, Romania, the son of Vasile Dobrin and Eufrosina Dobrin.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Maria Nistrea.

Ion was a contractor by trade.  He loved fishing and soccer, but most of all his family meant the most. Ovidiu and Aurora were the apple of his eye.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ana Dobrin; his son and daughter-in-law, Ovidiu and Mirela Dobrin of Atlanta, Georgia; his daughter and son-in-law, Aurora and Grigore Duta of Royal; four grandchildren, Anthony, Jake, Isabelle and Joshua; extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

The family appreciates your support and sympathy during this time of loss.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 14, 2023, with Pastor James Milan officiating in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, January 13, 2023, at the funeral home.
