Ines Josephine "Jo" Arnold, of North Little Rock, passed away on December 11, 2010. She was born on December 3, 1938 in Imboden, Arkansas to Roy J. Powell and Inez R. Ladd Powell. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Sherwood, quietly serving in the homebound ministry with her husband. She also was a member of the Barnabas Sunday School Class and the Etc. Bridge Club.
Jo is survived by her husband, Terry Arnold of North Little Rock; daughter, BJ Arnold of Key West, Florida; granddaughter, Sheridan Arnold of Sherwood; sister, Polly Plemmons of Lonoke; brothers, Rudy Powell of Williford and Randall Powell of Lonoke; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Kevin L. Arnold, sister, Anna Jackson and brother, Roy Powell, Jr.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 15 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Sherwood, 701 Country Club Rd., Sherwood, AR 72120 with Rev. Don Moore officiating. Entombment will follow in Rest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 14 from 6-8 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to A Giant Step Forward Program at First Baptist Church of Sherwood.
