Imogene M. Watson, age 82, of Glenwood, died Monday, January 31, 2011. She was born on November 28, 1928, in Roy, Arkansas, the daughter of Walter Wisdom and Zola Brooks Wisdom. On November 2, 1946, she was married to L Z Watson. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lenon Wisdom and Dale Wisdom and one sister, Wanda Rodgers. She was the bookkeeper for Killian Lumber Company and later Bean Lumber Company and was a member of Glenwood First Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to gospel singings, gardening, watching the Texas Rangers and Atlanta Braves baseball teams and women's college basketball. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, L Z Watson of Glenwood; one son and daughter-in-law, Edwin and Kathy Watson of Little Rock; one daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Mike Johnson of Hot Springs; four grandchildren, Katie Watson and Mason Watson, both of Little Rock, Scott Johnson of Conway and Amy Burns and her husband, Steven, of Napierville, Illinois; two great-grandchildren, Clayton Burns and Bennett Johnson; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Georgia Wisdom of Waldron, Mack and Mary Helen Wisdom of Houston, Texas and Bill and Louise Wisdom of Valley View, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 3, 2011, in the Glenwood First Baptist Church with Bro. Phillip Miller and Bro. Kevin Smead officating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Memorials may be made to the Glenwood First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 373, Glenwood, Arkansas, 71943. Pallbearers will be Scott Johnson, Steven Burns, Edwin Watson, Durwood Mayo, Terry Whitley and Tom Daniels. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Fred Divers and the nurses and staff of Genesis Cancer Center and Dr. Martin Koehn and the nurses and staff of Arkansas Hospice.
