Imogene Chandler, age 86, of Daisy, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016. She was born on May 15, 1929 at Daisy, the daughter of James Cleveland O'Neal and Octavia Elizabeth Simmons O'Neal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon David Chandler on June 16, 1992; her parents; her son, Larry Keith Pate; two grandchildren, Terry Pate and Trey Chandler; two sisters, Virgie Bluhm and Nancy Mack; and one brother, Willie O'Neal. Imogene was a member of the Mount Joy Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Dwight and Barbara Pate of Langley, Ted and Connie Pate of Langley, Bo and Amanda Chandler of Newhope and Richard Chandler of Langley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Liz and Dairl Kesterson of Kirby and Terri and Brad Whisenhunt of Newhope; six grandchildren, Adam Chandler and his wife, Brittany, Kelly Pate, Dedi Golden, Austin Whisenhunt, Katie Chandler and Casey Chandler; seven great-grandchildren and their spouses, Kaylan and Justin Simmons, Jalah and Danny Fuller, Bethany Ledbetter, Sarah and Garrett Bennett, Allanis Chandler, Addy Chandler and Alec Chandler; six great-great-grandchildren, Alexis, Reed, Nora, Kash, Hagen and Brody; one brother, Lemuel "Cooney" O'Neal of Newhope; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 22, 2016 in the Mount Joy Cemetery in Daisy with Bro. Kevin Jewell officiating. Visitation will be at 9:30 AM until service time at the cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
