Ila Fowlkes

Ila Alice Elizabeth (Nolen) Fowlkes, of Austin, Arkansas, was born August 20, 1917, and passed away on January 27, 2011, at the age of 93. Ms. Ila was a member of the 16th Section United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Good Neighbors Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyne Fowlkes and her two daughters, Zoe Ellen Fowlkes and Wanda Sue Smith. She went to be with her saviour leaving one son, J. D. Fowlkes and wife Patti of Denver, Colorado; one daughter, Michelle Cawthorn and husband Joe of Bossier City, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Jeff Fowlkes, Chad Smith, Stephanie Lutes, Tiffany West and Jacob McCanliss; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Ola Hutto of Conway; and a host of beloved friends.
Family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will follow at 3:00 p.m., with burial in Sixteenth Section Cemetery.
