Ila Ellis
Ila Vivian Young Ellis, 82, passed from this life on Sunday, September 30, 2012 with her daughters at her side. She was born in Little Rock on September 6, 1930 to Levi and Mamie Young and was a member of Otter Creek Assembly of God. Her lifelong passions were serving the Lord, cooking for her family and working in her garden.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cecil H. Ellis, daughter, Tanya Faye Stoops, and grandson, Kenneth Ellis, she is survived by her children, Lynn Woodall (Shelby) of Hot Springs, Larry Ellis of Choctaw, Tim Ellis of Drasco, and Pam Sisk (Ray) of Little Rock; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A special thank you to the staff of Foxridge Estates in Bryant and Arkansas Hospice for the loving care given to our mother.
Visitation will be this evening, Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m. at Otter Creek Assembly of God Church, 9415 Stagecoach Road. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the church, officiated by Rev. John Tracy and Rev. Bob Minick. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood. Pallbearers will be Todd Taylor, Randy Maxwell, Shane Maxwell, Brian Weaver, Neal Weaver and Brian Mangum.
