I.E. Turner

Ira "I. E." Turner, Jr., 83, of North Little Rock passed away October 21, 2016. He was born on August 16, 1933 to Ira and Della Turner. I.E. was a graduate of North Little Rock High School where he set state records in high and low hurdles. He then attended Arkansas Tech on a football scholarship. He worked for the North Little Rock Fire Department for 30 years and was North Little Rock Fire Chief for 10 years. He attended Levy Baptist, and was a lifetime member of the Elks and Retiree Police & Fireman Association.
I.E. is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Turner; son,
Charlie Edwin Turner (Ann); grandson, Casey Andrew Turner (Sarah) and niece, Judy Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Dorothy Edrington.
