Idell McCullars

Idell D. McCullars of North Little Rock, 89 passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. She was born on Sept. 29, 1922 in Vilonia, AR. Mrs. McCullars graduated ViloniaHigh School and went to work for Sears in Benton, AR, where she worked her way up to Manager. She worked at Sears for several years before venturing out and opening her own high-end dress shops. She opened the Four Seasons dress shop in Park Plaza Mall and a few years later opened her second store in North Little Rock in a beautifully refurbished home. Later in life Idell enjoyed working in her yard, spending time with family and always staying on top of the lastest fashions. Idell was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Park Hill Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George &Vivian Bostic, her husband, J.R. McCullars, her daughter, Melba Cummings and her brother Ernest Bostic. She is survived by her sister, Adell DeLap, grandchildren, Alan Cummings of El Paso, Arkansas and Connie Cummings Hamp and husband Tony of Kissimmee, Florida, 5 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews and host of great friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at the North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 N. Main St., North Little Rock. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 1pm at the Crestlawn Cemetery, Hwy. 64, Conway with Bro. Bill Bullington officiating.
The family wishes to thank Ridgewood Healthcare in Benton and Cliva Butler provided such wonderful and loving care and made her feel like she was home.
