Ida Mae Halford Pryor Pifer went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. She was born July 14, 1921 to Louie and Annie Halford and was a member of Ironton Baptist Church. Ida was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Alvin Pryor and Oscar Pifer; brothers, Louie, Clarence, Lester, Eddie, Donaldo, Grover and her sister, Gertrude.
She is survived by her children, Catherine McAtee (Randy), Kathy Wells (Jim), Kenneth Pryor (Mary Beth), and Larry Pryor (Karen) along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Langley and brother, Hubert Halford (Artie).
She was an avid deer hunter and hunted until she was 85 getting at least one deer every year and was a lifetime member of Colvin Hunting Club. Along with hunting she enjoyed gardening and loved the outdoors.
A visitation will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday at Ironton Baptist Church with service to follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Brother Sidney Thompson. Burial will be in the Ironton Cemetery.
