Ida Louise Tibbit Isham

Ida Louise (Tibbit) Isham, 77, of Vilonia, AR went to be with her Lord on February 3, 2025. She was born in Raton, New Mexico on December 31, 1947 to the late Ramona Lee (Laster) and John Eazzie Wilhite.

Ida Lou was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Ida was an extraordinary woman, known for her kindness, caring nature, and generous spirit. She touched the lives of everyone she encountered, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Ida’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother to her sons, Joe and Robert Isham, and a cherished grandmother to her grandchildren, Tyler, Amanda, and Sarah Isham. She supported her family in every way, always their biggest fan, and took pride in being an unwavering presence in their lives. Her love for her family was matched only by her love for her Lord.

A woman of remarkable strength and resilience, Ida faced life’s challenges with grace and determination. Her heart was open to everyone she met, and she had an innate ability to make those around her feel valued and cared for. She was the first to lend a helping hand, whether it was to her family, friends, or even neighbors. Her giving nature knew no bounds, and she was always ready to support those in need.

Ida worked as an Administrative Assistant for many years, a role she loved, where she formed deep connections with her colleagues and those she served. Upon her retirement, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including tending to her garden, spending time with her family, and trying out new recipes. She cherished being outside, mowing the lawn, and watching her beloved Razorbacks. Each day, she found comfort in listening to Charles Stanley, a reflection of her strong faith.

Though she may no longer be with us in person, Ida’s spirit will continue to live on in the love she gave, the kindness she showed, and the memories she created. Her legacy will forever be remembered by her sons, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of calling her a friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adair Joe Isham; granddaughter, Hillary Marie Isham; sister, Mary Farmer; brother, Melvin Harlow, and her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her loving sons, Joseph Isham and wife Wendy of Vilonia, Arkansas, Robert Isham and wife Sharon of Vilonia, Arkansas; grandchildren: Tyler Isham, Amanda Isham, and Sarah Isham of Vilonia, Arkansas; brothers: Ted Maldonado and wife Karen of Dallas, Oregon, Mike Harlow and wife Tani of Salem, Oregon, and Lum Wilhite and wife Deb of Conway, Arkansas.

Ida’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all who have offered support and shared in their sorrow during this time. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery on Hwy 89.
