Ida Daniels

Ida Jeanette Sanders Daniels passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, in Little Rock after a short illness. Born on January 17, 1941, in Sherrill, Arkansas, she was the fifth of eight children of Laura “Ruby” Jeanette and Jim Sanders.

A woman of many talents, Ida built a diverse and accomplished career. She began at a young age in her family’s store in Altheimer, and her first trip to “Market” to select merchandise sparked an enduring love for fashion. She went on to work as a bookkeeper, newspaper journalist and local revenue office supervisor in Malvern. After moving to North Little Rock, Ida returned to accounting but never lost her flair for style. She eventually joined the sales team at Pappagallo and before long opened her own upscale designer shop in The Heights named Sarah’s after her daughter. The store thrived, leading to a second location on JFK Boulevard in North Little Rock. In her later years, she continued sharing her fashion expertise in the Boutique section of the Little Rock Stein Mart.

Ida’s faith was the foundation of her life, and she has now been reunited with Jesus, her beloved daughter, Sarah “Becky” Duke Camp, her parents, and siblings Charles Henry “Bubba” Sanders, Sr., Margaret Selvey, Betty Sue Thomas, Peggy Bryant and Roger Sanders, along with the niece and nephews who passed away before her. She is survived by her sister, Clarice “Reecy” Wetmore of Little Rock, and brother, Larry Joe (Kim) Sanders of Moore, Oklahoma, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will cherish her memory.

A private graveside service will be held. Friends are invited to Highland Valley United Methodist Church for a memorial service featuring music at 1:30 p.m. on February 18. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to your favorite charitable organization.
