Huey Long
Huey Pierce Long, age 76 of Plainview, passed away June 14, 2014 at Mitchells Nursing Home in Danville, Arkansas. He was born on December 28, 1937 in North Little Rock, Arkansas; he was the son of Alonzo Long and Maude Bland Gwatney.
Huey was in the Carpentry and Construction industry and worked for himself for 55 years. He was a member of The First Assembly of God of North Little Rock, Arkansas and enjoyed hunting, fishing, music and sports.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Al Long, Jr, John K. Long, and James E. Long. Survivors include his daughter Suzanne D. Long of Plainview, Arkansas, Son Alan L. Long of Atkins, Arkansas, 2 sisters, Loretta Ruple (Don) Monk, Sherwood, Arkansas, Alice Crowson of Azle, Texas, one grandson Dylan Long of Guy, Arkansas, three granddaughters, Danielle (Justin) Atkinson of Conway, Arkansas, Macy Long and Micah Long of Cabot, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday June 17, 2014 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Sherwood, Arkansas with burial following at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery in North Little Rock.
There will be a visitation Tuesday June 17, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Sherwood.
