Hubert Rogers

Hubert Rogers, 86, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born November 18, 1922, at Vinity, Arkansas, to Ferguson W. and Orall Myrtle (Jackson) Rogers, and he died peacefully Sunday, August 16, 2009, surrounded by his family. Hubert was a family man and taught them about hard work and honesty, as his hand shake was his bond. His family and friends will miss his jokes, laughter and wit. He served in the Army Reserve for thirty-six years and was a fifty-year Mason. Hubert lived in Beebe for forty years and owned and operated "Rogers Saw Shop".
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Calvin and L. H. Rogers; and infant son Danny Earl. Hubert is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Ava Nell Rogers; four sons, Jackie Rogers and wife, Katie, of Kensett, James Rogers and wife, Nancy, of Woodville, Texas; Bobby Rogers and wife, Cheri, of McRae, Billy Rogers and wife, Sandy, of Beebe; one daughter, Martha Rogers of McRae; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews.
