LTC Hubert Harris Henderson, Jr. (USA, Ret.), 92, of Little Rock, passed away September 15, 2019. Born in San Antonio, Texas to Ruby Pearl and Hubert Harris Henderson, Sr., he received his ROTC training and commission at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He served in the Army as a logistics officer. He was a Korean and Vietnam War veteran, receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of Lifeway Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 68 years, Charlene Henderson, brother, Gerald Henderson and a great-granddaughter, Abigail Hammond, he is survived by his sons, Stephen H. Henderson, Sr. (Susan) of Sherwood and Gerald A. Henderson (Debra) of Hastings, Nebraska; brother, Timothy Henderson (Dianne) of Brentwood, Tennessee; sister, Patricia Logan of California; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 22 from 3-5 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Monday, September 23 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Freddy Parker. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
