Howard Maurice Smith, age 82 of Arkadelphia passed away on June 30, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born April 14, 1924 in Neshoba Co, Mississippi to the late Walter and Fannie Gipson Smith.
He loved the Lord and was faithful in his service as a pastor to several churches. He had a tape ministry, and also a radio ministry that reached many in the Foreign Mission Field in many different African Countries. He was also an evangelist, a retired minister of the Church of the Nazerene and a retired employee of the Midland Texas School District.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille; one son, Dorsie Earl Smith of Arkadelphia; one brother, Harold Smith of Pensacola, FL; and one sister, Waulette Smith of Gulfport, Mississippi.
A memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Caddo Valley Church of the Nazarene.
