Howard Phillips, 86, of Sherwood went to be with his heavenly Father Friday, April 27, 2012. He was a Baptist, a member of the Sherwood Masonic Lodge and retired car man from Union Pacific Railroad.
He is survived by four children, Virginia Satchell, Melissa Rankin, Mike Phillips, and Brenda Clark (Jay); five grandchildren, Jason Clark, Les Rankin (Tracy), Stephanie Rankin, Jennifer Moore (Chris), and Steven Phillips (Anna); seven great-grandchildren, Megan, Maddie, Jillian, Tinzley, Eilee, Kylee, and Aydin; two brothers, Jim Phillips (Ruby) and David Phillips; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maurice Phillips, his parents, seven brothers, one sister, and granddaughter, Jillian Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 2nd at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
