Homer "Mac" Spencer McWilliams

On Wednesday, February 24th, 2021 Homer (Mac) Spencer McWilliams, was called home at the age of 76 years.

Mac was proud to call himself an Army veteran, doing two tours in Vietnam during his lifetime. After his service in the US military he had a career with the US Postal Service until his retirement. One thing was for certain, Mac enjoyed life and having fun! His humor, smile, and talent for telling stories are just some of the things he was known for.

He is preceded in death by his father Homer McWilliams, his mother Delphia Ellen Elrod, his brother Clarence Malcolm Whitehead and his sister Patricia Anne Mallet.

Mac is survived by his wife Gwinna Masterson McWilliams, daughter Delphia Moon of Holly Springs NC, son Clifford Morris (Coot) of Mebane NC, son Chris Helfer of Romance AR, daughter Brandi Helfer of Beebe AR, daughter Elizabeth (and husband Jacob) of Sherwood AR, adopted daughters Beth Greer and Katie Brewer, ten grandchildren: Brea Fisher of Raleigh, NC, Eric Moon and Alex Moon of Holly Spring NC, Katlyn Helfer of El Paso AR, Alyssa Helfer of Romance AR, Taylor (and husband Hunter) Choate of Ward AR, Cheyenne Daniel of Beebe AR, Chase McCarley of North Little Rock AR, Kirtsyn McCarley of Beebe AR, William Kane Helfer of Romance, AR, and great grandchildren: Zara Choate of Ward AR many nieces, nephews, and great (great-great) nieces/nephews. Mac left behind a big family and an even bigger group of friends. The love for his family was known to all and to be a friend was to be included in that family.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, March 1st, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe.  The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 2nd, at the Crossroads Cowboy Church in El Paso, Arkansas.
