Homer Franklin Perry, 88, of Little Rock passed away Tuesday, November
27, 2018. He was born September 14, 1930 in Pulaski County, Arkansas to Homer F. Perry, Sr. and Sidney Shook Perry. He attended Fuller High School in Little Rock
He is survived by his daughter, Becky Lea (Brent); brother, Leslie (Roberta); grandchildren, Justin Halbert, Jonathan Halbert (Carmen), Nicole Lea and Jayce Lea (Riley); great-grandchildren, Reece and Jenny Lea; his wife of 26 years, Sue Black Perry; her children, Sherry Wells (Earl), Terri Dobbs (Doug); grandchildren Russ Cloud (Keren), Nora Molina (Eric), Nick Dobbs (Anna) ; and great-grandchildren, Luke and Brooke Cloud; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Marshaline Boydston Perry; son, Homer Lee Perry, Jr.; two brothers, Millard and Marvin Perry and his sister, Lena Biggs.
Mr. Perry served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a Master Electrician for Union Pacific RR, where he retired. Mr. Perry was a member of the Masonic Lodge of the Supreme Council, 32 degree.
He was a deacon and life time member of Ironton Baptist Church. He enjoyed Razorback sports, deer hunting in Monticello with his “second family” the Hoovers, and spending time with family.
A celebration of Mr. Perry’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 3, 2018 with a visitation prior to the service at 10:00 a.m., at Ironton Baptist Church in Little Rock. Burial with military honors will be in Ironton Cemetery.
