Homer D Manasco, 95, of Sherwood, passed from this life on February 04, 2012. Mr. Manasco was born on March 09, 1916 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Frank and Bertha Waymire Manasco.
Mr. Manasco was highly active in the Elks Lodge, was a faithful volunteer for the VA, enjoyed gardening, and was known to be a handyman for all.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmer, A.L., and L.D.; and sisters, Myrle Glosson and Helen Miller.
He is survived by his loving wife, Atha; daughters, Dorothy (Vince) Gassman, Bonnie (Max) Dawson, and Nancy (Eugene) Warren; stepdaughters, Mary Lou (Skip) Leonard and Darla (Ralph) Horton; brother, John; sister, Clara Mosley; several grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 5-8 P.M. with a Rosary beginning at 7 P.M at Huson Funeral Home of Sherwood. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Baptist Health Hospice or to the family.
