Hilton Dugger

Hilton Dugger, 97, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022.

Hilton Marie Dugger was a joy and an inspiration to all who knew her.

She was born on November 30, 1925 to Elmer McDaniel and Vesta LaFerney in Des Arc Arkansas. She died peacefully at Hospice Home Care Comfort Center in Little Rock on December1, 2022. She celebrated her 97th birthday with family members the day before with lots of stories and family photographs.

Hilton married Sherell Junior Dugger in September, 1944. They had 3 children: Shirley Marie, Gary Stephen, Patricia Annette.

She was preceded in death by Sherell and Patricia as well as her parents and all of her siblings (8) except James Coleman Thurman.

She is survived by Shirley, son in law Leon W. Sanders; Gary; her son in law Michael T. Amburn; 9 grandchildren;16 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.

She was a member of Stoney Point United Methodist Church and enjoyed quilting there as well as the Shepherd's Center at the Methodist Church in Beebe until her eyesight worsened. While residing at Fox Ridge in Little Rock she enjoyed bingo and music.

She will forever be in our hearts.

A drop-by visitation will be held between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W Dewitt Henry Drive, Beebe, AR 72012. There will be a private graveside service.
