Hershel Russell

Hershel Russell a lifelong resident of Ward, Arkansas, was born in Lonoke County, to A. B. Russell and Bain (Griffin) Russell, and he died Tuesday, November 03, 2009. He was a great storyteller who loved life and never met a stranger. The family would like to thank the staff of Beebe Retirement Center for the loving care of Hershel.
Hershel was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Carroll Russell; a sister, Madeline Hall; a nephew, Thomas Russell Hall; and great-niece, Katrina Hall. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Ed Hall; nephews Lewis Russell, Jimmy and wife Judy Hall; niece, Lesa and husband Jerry Aycock; great-nephews and great-nieces, James and Janice Hall, Scott and Tammy Hall, Tamra and Tim Moss, Darrin Turner, and Jeri Aycock; six great-great-nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, at Apple Hill Cemetery.
