Hermiece McCoy

Hermiece McCoy, 73, of North Little Rock, passed away October 5, 2015. She was born May 17, 1942 in Lonoke County to Richard Brown and Bertha Mensie.
To know my Mama was to love her. She was the glue that kept our family together, if you wanted to know something she knew it, if you wanted something done she did it, if you needed prayer she prayed. The apple didn't fall to far from the tree cause her Mama, Bertha, was the same way.
There wasn't a day that went by that we did not speak. She called each and every one of us to make sure we were okay and our kids alright. She was a good neighbor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael McCoy; two brothers, Albert and Tony.
She is survived by her daughter, Joycelyn (Eugene) Turner of North Little Rock; brother, Dwayne (Tamela) Holmes; two sisters, Mary (Larry) Hood of North Little Rock and Katina (Harvey) McNeal of Mabelvale; and three grandchildren, Jasmine (Latrell) Smith, Brittany (Thomas) Walker, and Micah Turner; two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Michael Walker, two honorary sons, Jeffrey and Stephen Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Friendly Chapel Church of The Nazarene. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Beebe, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Online guest registry www.SmithFamilyCares.com
