Herman "Sonny" Grady, Jr., 70, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011. He was born in Little Rock to Herman W. and Lillian Ketcher Grady and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church where he was an usher and drove the church bus for over 15 years. He worked as a sign specialist for Mizell Sign Co.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sybil Grady; son, Herman W. Grady III; stepson, Gary Cook; sisters, Elizabeth Taylor of Fayetteville and Charlene McKiersey (Mack) of Clarendon; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren who lovingly called him "PePaw".
Visitation will be Friday evening, April 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Mitch Tapson, Rev. Steve Mack and Mr. Lonnie Chambers. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Hot Springs. Memorials may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church, 5520 Woodlawn Dr., Little Rock, AR 72205.
