Herbert Lewis Head

Herbert Lewis Head, 76, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away June 13, 2023. He was born November 18, 1946, in North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Foy and Ida Head.

He is preceded by his parents; son, Jason Head; brothers, Paul Head, Billy Head, Wilburn Head and Virgil Head; and sister, Jean Harmon. He is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Head; children, Ginger Moore (Jon), Joshua Head (Kristie), Keith Riley (Linda), Bobby Riley (Michelle) and Christopher Riley; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters, Doris Barfield, Pat Townsend (Garth), Sue Gammel; brother, Everett Head (Virginia); many nieces and nephews along with a host of family and friends. 

Herbert enjoyed collecting coins and going to coin shows locally and meeting and talking to people. He enjoyed learning new things. His wife, Bobbie, could mention any subject and he would be able to share something about it. He was also mischievous. Like the time he told Bobbie about the snow snake. He went on and on about it. But he knew he had her and then he’s say, “but they’re hard to find because they only come out when it snows and it’s white!” He would laugh at her “wow” and enjoyed saying “gotcha!” They had a lot of deep conversations together that Bobbie will miss.

Herbert was kind to everyone and wanted to be at peace with everyone. He was very forgiving! Bobbie will love and miss him until she joins him on the other side.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107).
