Herb Adams

Virgil Herbert "Herb" Adams age 76 of Arkadelphia died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs. He was born March 27, 1934 in Eustis, FL the son of Cornelius Virgil and Nye Wilson Adams. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War, retired crop duster and farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Gurleen Adams, one son Neil Adams and a daughter Patricia Bright.

Survivors include his wife Sharon Huneycutt Adams, two sons, Richard Adams of Tunica, Mississippi and Russell Adams of Panama City, Florida, Sharon's son Ed Arrington of Benton, AR, two sisters, Vera Miles of Sardis, Mississippi and Pearl Chafee of Greer, South Carolina, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Graveside funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Wednesday, May 12 in the Richwoods Cemetery near Arkadelphia with Dr. Marvin Pate officiating. Visitation will be after the service in the Richwoods Baptist Church. Arrangements by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
