Henry Voss

Henry "Jim" Voss, 65, of Sherwood, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012. He was born September 17, 1946 in Little Rock to Henry James and Dorothy Grace Webb Voss. Jim battled cancer heroically for the last year on this earth, but now walks with Jesus pain free! He is no doubt talking someone's ear off in heaven.
Jim graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1964. He served in the Army National Guard from March 1966 until October 1971 in the 39th, attaining level of E-5. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 35 years and currently employed with Utility Support Systems. Jim was a member of Southwestern Bell Pioneers and a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church.
Throughout his life he enjoyed coaching baseball, softball and basketball. He served many years on the S H Optimist Committee. Jim loved going to high school football games and was a big Razorback fan. He might have been an even bigger Dallas Cowboy fan!!
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Patty; son, Henry J. Voss III; daughters, Deborah Voss and Shannon Hannon (John); sister, Elaine Hunt (John); grandchildren, Henry J. Voss IV, Blake Hannon, Felicia Payton and Steven Payton; and other friends and family.
