Henry Herrod

Henry Roland Herrod, 77, went to Heaven singing praises to our Lord on June 28, 2020 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Roland was born September 2, 1942 to the late Blanche Ellis and Franklin Herrod. He was raised by the late Henry and Ella Herrod, his grandparents in Beebe.

Dad was a man of God and family. He wasn’t just your “Sunday only” Christian. In all that he did and in all that he said, he did with the love of God. He adored his family and put his family above himself.

Dad loved to hunt and fish. As he grew “younger in heart”, hunting went to the wayside and fishing became his love. He enjoyed bass and bream fishing with his family. Dad loved God and wanted nothing more but to share the gospel of Christ. He was truly a Christian example to his family and all who came in contact with him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Ella Herrod; father Franklin (Jean) Herrod; mother, Blanche (James) Ellis; and his brother, Franklin Herrod, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Herrod; daughter, Reba (Terry) Rollans; grandchildren, Terry (Taylor) Rollans, Jr., Sabrina (Cody) Jones; son, Donald (Christina) Herrod; grandchildren, Trinity Herrod and Kylie Howard; sister, Alonda (Joe) McGraw; and numerous extended family and friends.

A visitation will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2020, followed by services at 11:00 a.m., at Sandstone Drive Church of Christ. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
