Henry Allison Dickerson of Floyd, Arkansas passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019. The Lord took him peacefully at home. He was born April 19, 1938 to Mary Ruby Wagnon and Birt Lawrence Dickerson. He married Julia Norene Weatherley on October 27, 1961. Henry worked at Matthews International from 1966 to 2000.
Henry enjoyed traveling across the country. He visited Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, the Petrified Forest, Route 66, Canada, the Grand Canyon, Mt. Rainier, and Pikes Peak. He saw the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in one year. Henry loved fishing and working in his garden. He was a proud shade tree mechanic; he worked on cars any chance he had between work and taking care of his family.
Henry is survived by his children, DD (Dickerson) Wix, Kathy Lynn (Dickerson) Pham and Amy Sue (Dickerson) Tate; his grandchildren, Daniel Pham, Julie Ellis, Emily Rowell, Katie Pham, Sarah Oakley, Sean Pham, Molly Berry, Mattie Pham; great-grandchildren, Tony King, Ross Ellis, Sebastion Pham, Jaxson Oakley, Sophia Pham and David Berry; and his sister Rhena (Dickerson) Blundell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Norene; brother Delmer Dickerson; sister Mable (Dickerson) Page; daughter Mary Louviena Oakley; and great-grandson Haden Roland.
Family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2019, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in McBee Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. www.smithfamilycares.com
