Henry Thomas Bennett, 91, passed away on June 15, 2012. Born in Marion, Louisiana to the late John R. and Fleda (Davis) Bennett. During WWII, he served in the 321st Bombardment Group, 446 Squadron, in the US Army Air Corps. In 1979 Thomas retired from the US Postal Service after 35 years of dedicated service.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years Mary Porter Bennett of Little Rock; children, Judy Larrison (Jack), Jane Bennett and Tom Bennett (Becky) all of Little Rock; grandchildren, Heather Larrison of Washington, DC, John Larrison of Little Rock, Kirsten Larrison of Little Rock, Trevor Bennett (Amy) of Alfred, NY, Jordan Bennett Wolf (Brian) of Little Rock; sisters, Helen Dean of Martinsburg, West VA, Linda Nicholson of Thousand Oaks, CA; brother-in-law, Bill Tilden of Simi Valley, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Sylvia Kist, Beth Plant and Bobbie Tilden.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR. The family wishes to thank the staff at Arkansas Hospice for their caring service during Thomas's final days.
