Helen Wilson, age 75, of Glenwood, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018. She was born on October 31, 1942 in Amity, the daughter of Flay Garner and Mona Cox Garner. On January 29, 1960, she was married to Mike Wilson who preceded her in death on July 13, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Helen was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Her favorite thing to do was to follow her grandkids and great-grandkids sports activities and when she wasnt doing that, she was working in her yard. She also enjoyed riding the motorcycle with her friend, O. D. Thomas. Always a hard worker, she was with Bakers IGA for over twenty years and was currently employed with John Plylers Home Center for the last twenty-one years. She is survived by two children and their spouses, Cindy and Marty Cook of Kirby and Mickey and Brenda Wilson of Rosboro; six grandchildren and their spouses, Mike and Cindy Cook, Pete and Tina Cook, Melynda and Billy Bryant, Heath and Maddi Cook, David Wilson and Dan Wilson; nine great-grandchildren, Jessica Tucker and her husband, Josh, Cody Grinnis, Casi Cook, Lindsey Cook, Brittany Gentry, Brian Cook, Kaden Bryant, Kyler Bryant and Bayleigh DeSalvo; and her several cousins and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 29, 2018, in Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Shewbart and Bro. Curtis Abernathy officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
