Helen Waters

Helen H. Waters age 92, of Arkadelphia passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at her home. She was born May 1, 1926 to the late Earnest and Eulalia Chandler Horton.

Helen was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a hairdresser, but her passion was being an artist. She was instrumental in securing a grant for South Central Arkansas Transit. Helen was also passionate about her pen pal ministry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Foster Waters; one daughter, Leta Kathryn Arnold and one grandson, Kelly Ryan Arnold.

Survivors are her daughter, Brenda Green; three grandchildren, Denise McCoy, Chris Green and Michael Arnold all of Arkadelphia; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Frances Hayden of Shreveport, LA; two brothers, Sam Horton of Keithville, LA. and John Lewis Horton of Marshall, TX.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Sunday, September 16th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.

Service will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 17th at the funeral home with Bro. Charlie Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
